Responding to a call from Tavistock Community Football, members of Tavistock Thistles grabbed a bucket and headed to Crowndale to remove any stones they could find prior to the ground being fertilised.

Established in 1983, Tavistock Thistles are a family focused Community Club and are affiliated to Tavistock AFC and Devon FA.

Our commitment to football starts early, with a fully licensed Devon FA Coach providing fun football sessions for all children aged 5 to 8 years old. We run teams through all age groups from U9’s to U18’s, and have mixed boys and girls squads up to under 11’s.

All our coaches are CRB checked and are qualified to level 1 FA standard or above. All coaches have undertaken the FA Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid training courses. We also have a dedicated Child Welfare Officer.
